CSEF Students Chosen as Broadcom MASTERS Semifinalists

BroadcomMASTERSVery Good News! Three Connecticut Science & Engineering Fair (CSEF) students have been chosen as Broadcom MASTERS semifinalists. Selected from 2230 competitors, 300 semifinalists are selected nationwide for this middle school national competition.

Each application received three independent readings and evaluations by distinguished scientists, engineers and educators. Nominees qualified to enter the Broadcom MASTERS by being among the top 10 percent of the participants at their Society for Science & The Public affiliated science fairs. The Broadcom MASTERS submission process is similar in complexity to a college application. We applaud all our competitors who made the effort.

Now the wait begins for September 2 when the 30 finalists are announced. Finalists will receive an all-expense paid trip to Silicon Valley., October 1 – 7 to showcase their science fair projects and compete in a four-day STEM competition for awards and prizes, including the top education award of $25,000 presented by the Samueli Foundation.
