Three CT Science & Engineering Fair students competed in the 2013 GENIUS Olympiad, at the State University of New York, Oswego, June 20-22. These students were selected during category and special awards judging to represent our fair and state at this international competition.
Gold Medal in Science – Janine Kerr, a rising junior at Danbury High School, for her research project Biological Control of The Emerald Ash Borer Using Entomopathogenic Fungus
Silver Medal in Science – Julia Elstein, a now graduated senior at Bridgeport Regional Aquaculture Center for her research project Reduction of Biodiesel Post Combustion Residue
National Grid Sustainability & Silver Medal Award – Connor Provost, a rising sophomore at Norwich Free Academy, for his research using body heat to run thermoelectric power generators.
