May 11, 2014
Today was the first day of the 2014 Intel International Science and Engineering Fair, and despite how excited I already was to be a part of such an amazing event, I cannot begin to describe how fantastic today was. After checking into the Figueroa- a unique, Moroccan style hotel- the finalists had a chance to get to know each other and the chaperones over lunch. In the evening, all the ISEF finalists had the opportunity to mingle at the Intel ISEF Student Exchange, where students from different states and countries exchanged pins and tokens that represent their regions. At this event I, as well of the rest of the Connecticut delegation, thoroughly enjoyed immersing myself in conversation with kids from Ohio, Alaska, and even Singapore! After this great kick-start to ISEF, we are especially looking forward to an exciting week here in Los Angeles.
