Participant Communication Policy
Adopted by the Connecticut Science Fair Association Board of Directors 4/10/24
The Connecticut Science and Engineering Fair is a program of the Connecticut Science Fair Association that promotes the independent, self-development of students. We provide opportunities for students to design, develop, and implement innovative projects and showcase them to practicing scientists and engineers independently. Part of the expectations of that independence is to communicate with professionals, including Fair personnel.
Therefore, only students or teachers will be permitted to communicate with Fair personnel regarding projects. Students may submit parent or guardian email addresses during registration for the purpose of them receiving information only. Students participating as independents, unaffiliated with a school, may contact the Fair Director, director@ctsciencefair.org, regarding alternative needs.
The Fair will provide notification of this policy through the website and its annual mailings to schools. Communications received that do not comply with this policy will either not receive a response or the response may include a reference to this policy.
